Rōber :: Cocktails + Culinary, a new restaurant from Taco Society Concepts, opens tonight in downtown Benton at 302 W. South St.
Taco Society Concepts is a restaurant group founded by Heather Baker-Roe and her husband Craig Roe and includes both Little Rock and Benton Baja Grill locations and Benton’s Valhalla :: Kitchen + Bar, as well as Valkyrie Axe Throwing.
Rōber’s website describes the menu as upscale American. The restaurant features an open view charcuterie bar, a 54-seat dining room featuring custom made 6-foot tall high-backed booths, a cocktail lounge and a back terrace. But can we just stop for a moment to talk about these bacon flights?
The menus says the bacon flights ($22) are more than a pound of pork belly and feature four flavors: ancho espresso, candied brown sugar, Korean barbecue and Ghiradelli chocolate and pistachio.
The restaurant also offers wine flights and bourbon and whiskey flights. The bourbon and whiskey menu is more than than two pages long and there are 25 signature cocktails on the menu. The dinner menu was created by chef/owner Baker-Roe and features items such as braised shorts ribs, gumbo, salmon on a whiskey-soaked cedar plank, shrimp and grits, pork tenderloin and a burger. A vegan pasta is also on the menu.

A recent Facebook post says the restaurant is opening with a “very new, very small, but very hardworking crew.” According to previous posts, Rōber is offering telehealth insurance immediately for staff members.
Online reservations can be made here and are maxed at parties of four for now. The cocktail lounge and bar is open for walk-ins only at 4 p.m. for cocktails and charcuterie. Dinner is served in the dining room at 5 p.m. and reservations are recommended. Call the restaurant at 501-403-1057 to inquire about reservations for larger groups. The restaurant’s hours are 5-10 p.m. Tue.-Thu., 5-11 p.m. Fri.-Sat. The cocktail lounge opens at 4 p.m. Tue.-Sat.
