Crash involving two trucks kills one at Bonnabel Boulevard on ramp to I-10 west
647 OH, IT’S JUST MUGGY AND STICKY OUT THERE. ONLY A PONYTAIL, KIND OF DAY OR A BUN KIND OF DAY FOR ALL LADIES. ABSOLUTELY. YES, BECAUSE IT IS HUMID OUT THERE. WE COULD HAVE NEAR-RECORD HEAT. IT’S A CLOUDY START TO THE DAY. WE DID HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN EARLIER, MAINLY ACROSS THE NORTH SHORE. BUT NOW ALL OF THAT HAS REALLY MOVED OFF TO THE NORTHEAST. IT IS BRINGING A SEVERE WEATHER THREAT TO SOME IN MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA AND PARTS OF THE PANHANDLE. YOU CAN SEE THE TORNADO WATCH THAT’S IN EFFECT THERE. AND RIGHT NOW THERE IS A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING. BUT FOR US, WE ARE DRY, THOUGH. WE ARE CLOUDY, BUT I DO EXPECT US TO SEE MORE SUNSHINE LATER ON TODAY. IT’S ALSO BREEZY OUT THERE. WE HAVE A 12 MILE PER HOUR BREEZE AT THE LAKEFRONT TEN IN BELLE CHASE BOGALUSA AND IN HAMMOND. AND LOOK HOW WARM IT IS OUTSIDE. 75 DEGREES RIGHT NOW IN BOGALUSA, SLIDELL AND AT THE LAKEFRONT 76 IN BELLE CHASE IN GALLIANO, HAMMOND AT 72, HOMER AT 73 DEGREES. SO THIS IS MUCH WARMER THAN IT WAS THIS TIME YESTERDAY BY 17 DEGREES IN BOGALUSA AND IT’S 12 DEGREES WARMER IN GULFPORT, 14 DEGREES WARMER IN GRAND ISLE. AND WE’RE ONLY GOING TO CONTINUE TO WARM UP FROM HERE. SO, AGAIN, PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES TODAY. I THINK WE’LL SEE SOME MORE SUNSHINE LATER ON. OTHER THAN THAT, IT WILL STAY BREEZY THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY, 15 TO 20 MILE PER HOUR WINDS AND IT WILL BE HUMID AND VERY WARM. HIGHS ARE GOING TO BE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER EIGHTIES AND THAT IS NEAR RECORD WARMTH. I’M GOING WITH A HIGH OF 87 DEGREES AT THE AIRPORT AND THE RECORD IS 86. SO WE WILL LIKELY TIE, IF NOT BEAT THE RECORD TODAY. THEN THIS EVENING WE ARE GOING TO START OFF IN THE EIGHTIES AND THEN FALL THROUGH THE SEVENTIES. SKIES WILL BE MOSTLY CLEAR, BUT THEY’LL START TO BECOME PARTLY CLOUDY. AND THEN OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CLOUD UP BY EARLY TOMORROW MORNING, THEY WILL BE MOSTLY CLOUDY. LOWS WILL BE ANYWHERE FROM 68 TO 73 DEGREES. SO ANOTHER FAIRLY WARM START TO THE DAY TOMORROW. AND THEN WE’RE GOING TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN NEAR RECORD HEAT BACK IN STORE TOMORROW WITH HIGHS IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 82 AT THE AIRPORT TOMORROW. SO I’M GOING WITH A HIGH OF 86 AND THE RECORD IS 85 DEGREES. SO IF WE DON’T TIRE BEAT A RECORD TODAY OR TOMORROW, WE HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE ON WEDNESDAY. I THINK WE HAVE A GOOD POSSIBILITY OF AT LEAST TYING, IF NOT BEATING RECORDS TODAY, TOMORROW AND ON WEDNESDAY. BUT ON WEDNESDAY, THAT’S WHEN THINGS START TO CHANGE. A FRONT WILL MOVE TOWARDS US. IT WILL STALL AND IT WILL BRING THE CHANCE OF RAIN. WE DO HAVE A 20% CHANCE OF RAIN ON WEDNESDAY. THEN ON THURSDAY, IT BUMPS UP TO 40%. THAT WILL STICK AROUND ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, OFF AN
