Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost in Week 12 to the Cleveland Browns, making it six losses for this team in the 2022 NFL season. It is interesting to make a tally of whether they are really great quarterbacks who have not defeated the seven-time Super Bowl winner and then draw conclusions.
Which QBs have defeated Tom Brady in 2022?
The Bucs’ losses this season were in Week 3 to Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers, Week 4 to Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs, Week 6 to the Pittsburgh Steelers for whom Kenny Pickett opened and Mitch Trubisky replaced them, Week 7 to P.J. Walker’s Carolina Panthers, Week 8 to Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens and now Week 12 to Jacoby Brissett’s Cleveland Browns.
In other words, of the seven QBs who have defeated TB12 only three of them can be considered established starters and stars in the NFL and one of those three, Rodgers, is clearly on the decline, so this reality exemplifies from another perspective how poorly the former New England Patriots player has fared in the 2022 season.
Tom Brady, with a losing record after 11 games for the first time in his career
It is alarming for Brady to know that they have a 5-6 record having faced such opposition and that Brissett’s latest case involves having measured himself against the team’s non-starter, as that spot goes to Deshaun Watson, who this Monday has been activated.
Of the other two cases, we are talking about a dispute for the starting job between Pickett and Trubisky in Pittsburgh and perhaps the most scandalous case of P.J. Walker, who at the beginning of the season was the 3rd string QB behind Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold.
