Winner and NEW Number One Contender, Lola Vice!
Grade: B
This was a fun triple threat match. One of the biggest issues with these types of matches is the long periods of someone just lying on the floor while two people brawl. There was some of that here, but they kept it to very brief periods. Everyone involved here killed it. Vice winning was a bit of a surprise, but hopefully this goes better than the last time.

Grade: C+
This writer said the minute Hank and Tank won the tag titles, they needed to just shine them up and hand them to DarkState. This match was just fine. Nothing special by any means, but the false finish that led to the actual finish was quite well done.

Grade: B+
So far, this has been the match of the night. Monore and Grace exemplified what a grudge match is supposed to be. The cowardly heel acted cowardly and cheated to win. The finish was masterful, and even though it was set up earlier in the match, it happened naturally and wasn’t forced. Quite well done. This writer sees the hype with Monroe now.

Winners- Chelsea Green & Ethan Page
Grade: B
Fun match. This writer understands that Green is popular, but the crowd was out of line with how they booed Steele and Heights. Page did his best to try to rein in the crowd, but they were intent on hijacking the show. Steele and Heights both looked great out there tonight. If that crowd didn’t appreciate their work tonight, this writer sure did.

After the match, Ricky Starks comes to the ring and jaws back and forth with Femi. Starks says he’s up next.
Grade: A
Remember earlier when this writer said Monroe vs. Grace was the match of the night? See, what had happened was… this match stole the crown. Evans and Femi killed it tonight. Evans is the perfect underdog, and Femi is the ultimate beast. Femi tried to murder Evans, and Evans just kept on coming. It got to a point where Femi was very clearly sick of Evans’ sh*t so he gave him the Spike Dudley treatment. In less than a week, Evans has taken insane bumps through the commentary desk. One of the reasons a spot like this is so effective is that there wasn’t a ton of garbage match shenanigans throughout the PLE. Less is more, and it just worked here tonight.
WWE NXT Heatwave Review:
Tonight’s show featured solid in-ring action and set the stage for the next few months of NXT TV. Oba Femi and Je’Von Evans stole the show with a hell of a contest that featured one of the craziest bumps this writer has seen… well, since the last time Evans went through a table. Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe had a banger as well, that ended in a way that most likely means this feud is far from over. Ricky Starks is poised to take the next shot at Femi, but can the ruler be beaten? Or is Starks destined to get the Uncil Phil treatment, too? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
