NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A woman was killed on Marigny Street Saturday, June 28 in an alleged homicide.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers responded to call on the 2000 block of Marigny Street. Upon arrival, officers met with a man who allegedly reported shooting his girlfriend and burying her in the backyard.
The NOPD said investigators discovered human remains behind the home. Police arrested 24-year-old Benjamin Camp in connection with the homicide. He was booked into the Orleans Justice Center on charges of second-degree murder.
