News 40 Weather | Get ready for cool temperatures FAR from the average!
WHO IS READY FOR SOME EVEN COOLER TEMPS?!
While temperatures were pretty consistent this weekend, it’s been a welcome change from the intense heat we experienced over the past few weeks. A cold front is expected to move through our area later this evening, and that will bring significantly cooler temperatures than we’ve seen in a while overnight. In fact, we’ll kick off a stretch of decently below-average temperatures starting tomorrow. We can anticipate afternoon highs in the upper 70s to right around 80 degrees. Morning lows will feel especially comfortable, dropping into the mid- to even low 50s next week! Even with the cold front moving through on Saturday, we’re only expecting modest rain chances as there isn’t much moisture associated with this front. For both Saturday and Sunday, we’re looking at isolated rain chances, with a possible rumble of thunder on Saturday. A prolonged dry period will then settle in from later on Sunday and continue through next week.
DRY PERIODS PERSIST
There isn’t many rain chances as there isn’t much moisture associated with this front that passed through yesterday. A prolonged dry period will continue to stay and continue through next week amidst the burn bans due to dry conditions across the region.
