Education
• Emory University, including Oxford College, will close starting Friday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. and remain closed throughout the weekend.
• DeKalb County Schools has canceled all school and district extracurricular and athletic activities for Saturday and Sunday.
• Fulton County Schools has cancelled weekend activities for Saturday and Sunday.
• Atlanta Public Schools has cancelled all weekend events and activities for Saturday and Sunday.
• City Schools of Decatur has cancelled all weekend events and sports.
• The Westminster Schools campus will be closed Saturday.
Arts, Entertainment, Events
• The Braves Fest fan event at Truist Park scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled.
• The Dunwoody Homeowners Association Farmer’s Market event has been cancelled for Saturday
• Georgia Aquarium will be closed on Saturday and will have a delayed opening at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
• Theatrical Outfit has cancelled the Saturday performance of “Girl From the North Country.”
• Zoo Atlanta will be closed on Saturday.
• Center for Puppetry Arts is closed Saturday.
City & County Facilities
• Live Thrive Atlanta is closing both of its CHaRM recycling centers (Grant Park and Decatur) on Saturday.
• All Fulton County Libraries will be closed on Saturday.
• The City of Atlanta has postponed a public meeting about plans for the Chattahoochee Brick Co. and RiverLands site.
• The Atlanta Food Bank (3400 N. Desert Drive) and Jesse Hill Market (at Grady) will be closed on Saturday for distribution operations and all volunteer shifts.
• In Brookhaven, the City Council Advance scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 has been cancelled. Rescheduling information is to be announced.
