Here’s what to look for in the Jets’ first preseason game against the Packers in Green Bay, Wis. on Saturday.
Gang Glenn
Aaron Glenn’s real coaching debut comes in a month against the Steelers, but this will be the first time Jets fans get to see him running the team. Will he be animated? Will he be calm? Will there be any interesting game-management decisions? It will be our first glimpse of Glenn the head coach.
Fields day
There have been some rough training camp practices mixed in with some good ones for the new Jets quarterback. Now, he faces an opposing team with a television audience.
There should not be an overreaction either way, but he could ease some concerns with a nice drive to start the game.
On the receiving end
We all know what to expect from Garrett Wilson at wide receiver. It’s after him where there are question marks.
This is a chance for Josh Reynolds and Allen Lazard to state their cases for No. 2 receiver and for the younger receivers to fight for one of the last roster spots.
