NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Muggy conditions remained this morning with patchy fog in the far-eastern areas and lingering showers in the higher elevations. Temperatures started off in the high 40s or in the 50s, while elsewhere was starting in the lower 70s.

Light southerly winds with a high pressure system will combine to squeeze out more moisture across many of the burn scars. Clouds will dampen temperatures with most reaching the upper 70s, 80s, and in the 90s.
The pattern of muggy mornings with breezy winds shifting to afternoons forming storms will continue. The stormy, muggy pattern will be in place for many, until conditions dry out and heat up by the end of the week.
