What’s next: The AfterShocks are in the Final Four of The Basketball Tournament for a second time. Sunday’s quarterfinal win puts them two wins away from the title and the $1 million prize.
They play We Are D3 at 7 p.m. Thursday (FS1) at Koch Arena. We Are D3, a team of former small-college athletes, defeated Fail Harder 95-93 on Sunday at Koch Arena. They won the Syracuse Regional and defeated UConn and Syracuse alumni teams.
The winner of Thursday’s semifinal advances to the championship game on Aug. 3.
The AfterShocks also advanced to the semifinals in 2022 before falling to 78-75 to Americana for Autism in Dayton. They defeated We Are D3 83-52 in the first round in 2022.

Recap: Depth and balance carried the AfterShocks again. They put four players in double figures and Rashard Kelly added eight points.
The AfterShocks held Heartfire, the top seed from the Kansas City Regional, to 6-of-29 shooting from three-point range.
The AfterShocks led 33-30 at halftime before a burst midway through the third quarter gave them control of the game. They led 39-35 before a steal by Conner Frankamp led to a three-point by Keene. That started a 12-4 run. McDuffie scored six of his points in the third, four from the line.
Heartfire cut the lead to 66-60 with 3:47 to play, setting the Elam Ending target score at 74. Nike Sibande followed in his own miss to end the game.
