What’s next: The AfterShocks will play at Koch Arena as long as they keep winning in pursuit of the $1 million prize. Tuesday’s win in the Wichita Region championship puts them in the final eight of The Basketball Tournament. Their next game is 8 p.m. Sunday on FS1.
The AfterShocks play the winner of Heatfire, the top seed, or JHX Hoops (Kansas alums), second seeded, from the Kansas City Regional. Those teams meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Municipal Auditorium (TBT YouTube channel).
Because La Familia (Kentucky alums) lost on Tuesday, the AfterShocks can host the semifinals and final. Hosting privilege is determined by attendance.

Recap: AfterShocks coach Zach Bush recruited Keene for moments like this. Keene, a veteran of TBT, led the nation in scoring at 30 points for Central Michigan in 2016-17.
On Tuesday, he ended the game with a long three-pointer over a defender to secure the Elam Ending’s target score. The basket set off another celebration in Koch Arena, with Markis McDuffie leading the dance line to move the AfterShocks in the bracket display.
Center Marcus Santos Silva, who played for VCU and Texas Tech, made 7 of 9 shots and grabbed eight rebounds. He scored eight points in the second quarter to help the AfterShocks to a 42-36 halftime lead.
Forever Coogs (Houston alums) forced five turnovers and held the AfterShocks to eight points in the third quarter. That set the stage for a tight fourth quarter. The AfterShocks led 58-57 after an offensive rebound and two free throws by Markis McDuffie to set the target score at 66.
A foul shot by Santos Silva gave the AfterShocks a 63-61 lead. Radford’s layup tied it. Keene’s three sent the AfterShocks to the quarterfinals for the fourth time in six TBT appearances.
