CHICAGO (WGN) — iCryo, a multi-faceted cryogenic therapy company, just opened its first wellness and recovery center on the North Side of Chicago.
The goal for iCryo is to be a one-stop shop for Chicagoans’ wellness needs. From hot to cold, head to toe, iCryo aims to target it all.
“There’s different places in Chicago where you’re doing just cryotherapy and compression or just saunas, where for us, we’ve got everything all in one spot for you,” said Ginny Brandl, assistant center manager for iCryo’s Edgewater location. “Our lifestyle services are going to be our red light therapy, zero body dry float bed, compression, Seca scales, cryotherapy and sauna, but we also have a hyperbaric chamber, body sculpting, and then IV drips, IM shots and NAD+ as well.”
Like its name implies, cryotherapy is one of the more popular items available on iCryo’s menu.
“We give you gloves, socks, slippers and a mask as well too, and we give you headphones so you can listen to your favorite song too,” Brandl said. “It is cold, but you’re definitely able to withstand it, for sure.”
After temperatures plunge to 200 degrees below zero, Brandl told WGN-TV the human body starts to feel the benefits.
“With cryotherapy, you’re receiving inflammation benefits, circulatory benefits, but weight loss benefits as well,” Brandl said. “You’re coming out feeling energized and ready for the day.”
