Periods of scattered rain fell quite heavily across parts of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio this morning. Some areas have seen 1-3 inches of rainfall since midnight, mainly those to the southwest of Fort Wayne. See the morning rainfall reports below.

Rain chances decrease this afternoon, but expect clouds and some areas of fog/mist to persist. Temperatures will hang out in the 60s, so grab a jacket for your plans.
Rain is expected to exit entirely by tonight, setting up a warmer and sunnier Father’s Day. Skies may start off partly cloudy but will become mostly sunny in the afternoon. Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads! Highs reach into the lower 80s. We’ll be “Comfortable” on the Muggy Meter too.

While we wrap up the weekend on a dry and comfortable note, the humidity rises once more into the workweek, with Tuesday and Wednesday climbing into the “Tropical” category. Definitely take it easy outdoors those days.

This return to heightened moisture will introduce a slight chance for showers and storms Tuesday through Thursday. We’re watching Wednesday, where a few could be on the strong to severe side overnight. We’ll continue to keep you posted on the severe potential, and at this time, the overall threat is relatively on the lower end.

Highs in the 80s return for the upcoming workweek, right on time for the first day of astronomical summer this Friday.
