The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced the Lake Greeson shoreline cleanup for 2023.
The annual event will be held this year on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Participants are asked to register at the dam area near Swaha Marina.
Clean-up supplies — bags, gloves, safety vests — will be provided at the event as well as bottled water.
Lunch will be provided at noon for those involved at the dam area pavilion and drawings for door prizes will occur. Additionally, tee-shirts will be given out while supplies last.
The Corps seeks participation from not only interested individuals but also local businesses, clubs, civic groups and churches.
“We welcome all to help us clean up Lake Greeson’s shoreline after a busy summer,” said the event press release.
The event is co-sponsored by National Public Lands Day and Keep Arkansas Beautiful.The event is also seeking monetary donations and door prizes from local businesses.
