Halloween is just around the corner, and you may have noticed that perfect costume may be harder to come by this year. Supply chain issues have left retail stores lacking their regular rates of inventory, so consumers may be turning to do-it-yourself creations.

According to this year’s Goodwill Halloween Survey, the thrift store company found 28% of respondents were planning to dress in characters based on pop culture trends (from TV, movies, video games or books); 25% planned a spooky outfit such as witches, ghosts, zombies or werewolves, and 24% preferred unique, one-of-a-kind costumes.
