Summary
- Vince McMahon’s appearance raised concerns due to an aged, tired look.
- Social media reacted harshly, with users commenting on McMahon’s look.
- Suggestions of cosmetic surgery were made regarding McMahon’s appearance.
Veteran wrestling commentator Jim Ross raised eyebrows after commenting on Vince McMahon’s appearance during the TMZ special The Real Hulk Hogan, which aired on August 12, 2025, on FOX. The special, released following Hulk Hogan’s death on July 24, 2025, offered the first up-close and high-definition look at McMahon on television years after leaving WWE following his controversial 2022 lawsuit with Janel Grant.
Vince McMahon “Looked Horrible”
“I thought he looked horrible. I thought he looked tired, withdrawn, and it had me concerned,” Ross said. “Whoever did his makeup should be fired. He just looked withdrawn and so old… his eyes tell a big story… to me that he looked tired and a little frustrated.” Ross also pointed out that McMahon’s hair and the coloring of his eyebrows were noticeable.
His appearance is shocking, not necessarily because of his age, but because he was once the epitome of good health, and it seems like being on a network like FOX might have motivated his team or others to ensure that he didn’t look so disheveled and unhealthy.
Ross Wasn’t The Only One Who Noticed McMahon Looked The Way He Did
Social media reaction to McMahon’s appearance was immediate, and people didn’t hold back. On X.com, one user commented, “I was watching the TMZ special on Hulk Hogan. Vince McMahon looks like he’s embalmed.” Dr. Dan, a practicing plastic surgeon, commented on Bubba The Love Sponge show, “He looks like hell!” He added, “I think he probably had a forehead lift, I think he had four lids, I think he had a facelift at some point, which is why his mouth looks so weird. I think he also had filler added; that little bulge in front of his ear, I don’t know what the hell that is…” He added that Vince had his eyes done once, and they just kept sagging, so he didn’t have them done again. “That would have helped,” he noted.
Bubba Ray Dudley mentioned that WWE should consider bringing McMahon back during John Cena’s final appearance. It would be hard to envision them doing that, and it certainly wouldn’t be wise to do so if McMahon’s appearance is going to be a concern. While McMahon’s legacy is arguably ruined (definitely tarnished) by the allegations against him, few fans likely want to see him on WWE programming if he looks as “horrible” as he did during the interview.
