(KRON) – Authorities have arrested a man accused of burglarizing three storage units, according to the San Mateo Police Department.
San Mateo police responded to Public Storage on S. Delaware Street on Wednesday. Authorities were informed that three storage units were burglarized, and the victims reported high-value tools, electronics, rare memorabilia, collectibles and firearms were stolen.
Due to the police investigation, officers discovered the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle. SMPD said the suspect was then identified as Union City resident Aaron Hassan.

According to police, Hassan was also responsible for numerous other burglaries and attempted burglaries that occurred within the last two weeks.
The department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau and Crime Reduction Unit later found Hassan with a search warrant for his car and residence. Multiple stolen items and drugs were found in Hassan’s vehicle, according to police. Additional stolen items were found in Hassan’s home, including two firearms.
Hassan was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for felon/addict in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance with 2 or more priors, make, sell, possess a weighted weapon, possess unlawful paraphernalia, possess controlled substance, and four-counts of second degree burglary from a building.
