Summer in Chicagoland isn’t going anywhere quite yet.
Warm air, with plenty of sunshine, will remain over the area for the next several days, with high temperatures Tuesday reaching the mid-80s inland, followed by highs in the upper 80s on Wednesday and Thursday.
It will be cooler along the lakefront, however.
The early mornings are starting to feel a little fall-like, though, with some inland temps in the area in the 40s before the sun came up Tuesday.
But once the sun does come up, there will be plenty of it, with no rain in sight until at least the weekend. Temps look to cool into the low to mid-80s for the upcoming weekend, but it appears bonified “sweater weather” will hold off for at least a few days yet.
