SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A pedestrian was killed overnight Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco’s Mission Terrace neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
Police responded at 12:22 a.m. to Mission Street and Santa Rosa Avenue on the report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Arriving officers and paramedics found an injured male and provided aid.

Despite the life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The age and name of the victim were not immediately released.
The driver and the vehicle involved in the fatal collision fled the scene, SFPD said. As of 8 a.m. Wednesday, the hit-and-run driver has not been located.
