Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer is super active across his social media platforms. He never shies away from putting forth his opinions on the game. The former cricketer has yet again come up with a rather intriguing Tweet that has grabbed the attention of the netizens. He has pointed that considering the recent victories of the team in the shorter format, India might be tempted to bring back their old jersey.

When it comes to the T20 format, the Men in Yellow has been dominating the proceedings. The MS Dhoni-led side won the IPL 2021 and made a remarkable comeback after a dismaying outing in the last season. A month later Australia blew the trumpet of their repertoire as they were crowned as the T20 World up 2021 champions.

More so recently Tamil Nadu won a last-ball thriller in order to defend their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title. However, one thing that was common in all these winning teams is their jersey color. It is to be noted that the champions donned the yellow jersey and this has caught the attention of former India Cricketer Wasim Jaffer.

Wasim Jaffer shares a fascinating Tweet

It is a no-brainer that Jaffer has his own distinct style of keeping his followers engaged through his Tweets. This time around he took to his official Twitter account to share a picture of India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar in a yellow jersey. Taking into consideration the success of the teams in yellow, he dropped an idea that it might be the time for India to bring back the old jersey.

He also added a fitting caption to the post. “Seeing teams in yellow winning trophies, time to bring this jersey back? #INDvNZ #T20WorldCup,” the caption read. His tweet attracted a lot of users wherein they commented their thoughts on the same.

Wasim Jaffer predicts the intriguing battle of the upcoming Test between India-New Zealand

The former India cricketer predicted that New Zealand’s Tom Latham can be a key player for the side. He highlighted his recent form and predicted that Latham v Ravi Ashwin will be an intriguing contest.

“Tom Latham is going to be key for NZ. He has the game to succeed in the subcontinent. Plays the sweep shot well. Has a hundred in SL, two hundred in UAE vs Pak, and got three fifties last time NZ was here.  Ashwin v Latham is going to be a cracking contest. #INDvNZ,” he tweeted.
