ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Multiple crews were on Madison Avenue near South Swan Street in Albany for a massive fire. Officials said the fire happened at a multi-family residence.
The fire is a block away from the New York State Museum and Empire State Plaza. Downtown Albany was filled with thousands of people Friday night as the New York State Fourth of July Fireworks show had just ended.
People are asked to avoid Madison Avenue from Empire State Plaza to Lark Street.
There was no word Friday night on a cause for the fire or any injuries.
