LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — There is a heavy police presence on the Northway from Exit 28 to Exit 20 in connection with the investigation into the death of 9-year-old Melina Frattolin. State Police said this evidentiary search covers approximately 38 miles along the Northway and there will be rolling road closures in the area.
Melina Frattolin was found dead in Ticonderoga on Sunday after an AMBER Alert was issued for her the night before. Her father, Luciano Frattolin, 45, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with her death.
Law enforcement asks residents to avoid traveling the area if possible and stay cautious while driving. These closures and the search are expected to last into the afternoon.
