Summer heat and humidity are on the rise
If you’ve been waiting for that summer feel, it’s arriving in full force today. The heat will be turning up, and so will the humidity.

We’ll start with partly cloudy skies, and temperatures will be climbing fast. By midday, it will already be in the low 80s, and we’re headed toward a high that’ll be flirting with 90 degrees this afternoon. With the added humidity, it’s going to feel even warmer.
Tonight stays mild, with lows only dipping into the mid-60s, so if you’re hoping to cool off overnight
Friday brings some changes. We’ll be cooler thanks to a system moving in, spreading more clouds across the region. But here’s the catch — the humidity’s not going anywhere. There’s a slight chance for a few showers by late afternoon, but rain chances go up Friday night.

Saturday will be damp, especially early in the day, as scattered showers move through. Even though temperatures stay in the 70s, the humidity will keep things feeling sticky and uncomfortable.
Father’s Day on Sunday looks better; it will be mostly dry, maybe even a little sunshine peeking through. But the humidity still holds on, so it won’t exactly be refreshing outside.

Then, looking ahead, Next week, summer takes over. Highs climb into the mid-80s Monday, and we’re likely pushing the upper 80s much of the week. Rain chances look slim, but the humidity will be stubborn. It’s a preview of the dog days of summer.
