Wynn Resorts has detailed an expansive residential community designed for its workforce at Wynn Al Marjan Island in United Arab Emirates, marking a major operational milestone for the upcoming integrated resort. The residential development, known as Wynn Oasis, will provide accommodation, services, training facilities, transportation and dedicated amenities intended for daily life and professional development. It is planned to open in summer 2026 and is expected to support a substantial share of the future resort’s staffing needs.
Amenities and Daily-Living Infrastructure
Company officials said the community is purpose-built to accommodate more than 7,000 colleagues, representing around 80 percent of the resort’s anticipated workforce. The project covers over 105,000 square meters and will be situated near Marjan Island and Wynn Boulevard. According to the development plans, the community will function as a self-contained residential village rather than centralized staff housing, with separate guest accommodations for visiting family members.
Wynn Oasis will feature a full range of daily-living amenities, including private bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, personal safes, pantries, laundry facilities and high-speed internet. Units will include hotel-grade linen, terry towels, workspaces, smart TVs and curated welcome amenities. A weekly laundry service will be provided for colleague bedding. The Beach House, a hotel-style guest building, will support family visits and concierge services aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
The community will integrate transportation links connecting the site with Wynn Al Marjan Island in less than 15 minutes. Weekend shuttle services will connect residents to beaches, malls and other city destinations, offering mobility beyond workplace commuting. On-site retail and personal services will include shops, banking, grooming, tailoring, a pharmacy and a medical clinic.
According to Khaleej Times, at the center of the site will be The Pearl, a mixed-use hub that consolidates fitness, entertainment, wellness and social spaces under one roof. Planned facilities include a Technogym-equipped fitness center, indoor sports arenas, two swimming pools, a cinema, karaoke studios and an esports gaming lounge. Additional community areas such as La Rêve Plaza will host cultural performances, outdoor cinema and other events, while Al Safa Garden will offer quiet outdoor space for relaxation. Shaded walkways, more than 65,000 plants, over 500 trees and a professionally designed one-kilometer running track will be incorporated throughout the landscape.
Dining will be provided through six in-house food and beverage venues operated by the resort’s culinary team. Among these will be The Reef, a buffet-style restaurant, and Victory Sports Bar & Lounge, a 197-seat venue offering live sports. Four grab-and-go outlets — Stacked, Slice, Zen and an artisan coffee house — will serve everyday convenience needs.
Professional Development and Training
A key component of Wynn Oasis is Wynn University, an on-site academic campus dedicated to staff training and professional growth. The facility will include culinary training kitchens, food and beverage laboratories, digital classrooms and specialized learning areas. Company leadership described the university as central to the long-term development of staff skills and career mobility within the hospitality industry.
Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, stated that exceptional guest experiences begin with investing in employees. He said Wynn Oasis was designed “with the same attention to detail as our guest environments”, prioritizing “wellbeing, connection, and personal development”, and added that the project aims to set a “new standard for how hospitality organisations invest in their staff.” He reiterated this sentiment in a separate statement, noting, “Wynn Oasis reflects that belief in a very tangible way,” and that “when our colleagues feel supported, they are empowered to deliver at the highest level.”
