SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s apparel brand, will open a location in a suburban mall, the marking the second storefront planned for the Chicago area.
The store is coming to the Oakbrook Center, a shopping mall in the southwest suburbs, a representative of the shopping center confirmed.
However, both Oakbrook Center and SKIMS did not provide further details about the store’s planned opening date.
Previously, Crain’s Chicago Business reported that SKIMS will open a standalone store in Chicago at 1000 N. Rush St., although the brand has still yet to announce an opening date or confirm further details.
News of the Oakbrook location was first publicized by a TikTok posted by @soymannyesco, which gained over a million views. The video shows SKIMS branding on a storefront.
Oakbrook Center is home to over 100 stores, including Aritzia, Lululemon and Zara. The mall also includes a Nordstrom location that sells SKIMS products.
Currently, Chicago-area customers can only shop at the Oakbrook Center Nordstrom, a Michigan Avenue Nordstrom or on SKIMS’ online shop.
SKIMS is best known for its form-fitting shapewear, although the celebrity-owned brand also carries loungewear and underwear.
