Manchester United are working to secure the transfer of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
Ruben Amorim’s side have submitted an offer worth €85m including add-ons, as the Red Devils look to beat Newcastle United to his signature.
Sesko has indicated his preference is a move to Manchester, where he could complete a new-look frontline alongside new recruits Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

United scored just 44 goals in the Premier League last season but will have signed three players who combined for 48 league goals last season if Sesko arrives at Old Trafford.
Some have cited the club’s pursuit of Sesko as a risk, given the Slovenian striker is just 22 and has no prior Premier League experience. However, Sesko is the leading u-23 goalscorer across Europe’s top five leagues since his arrival at Leipzig in 2023.
The forward has netted 39 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig since his arrival from Red Bull Salzburg. That return places Sesko above some notable names on the list of highest u-23 scorers, including Jude Bellingham and new Liverpool signing Florian Wirtz.
Is he the answer to Manchester United’s goal issues?
