The Alouettes are coming off their first loss of the season, falling 35-17 last Friday to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Montreal quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson was 24-for-41 for 203 yards with a touchdown and a pair of interceptions, finding Cole Spieker for the score. Spieker ended the day with six catches for 57 yards. The Alouettes never got a run game going, though, as Bethel-Thompson’s three carries for 19 yards led the team. Caleb Evans had three carries to tie for the team lead, but had just five rushing yards.
BC has lost three in a row, including last week’s 37-18 defeat to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was picked off three times in the loss and threw one touchdown to Keon Hatcher. James Butler was impressive on the ground with 17 carries for 123 yards and a score, but it wasn’t enough to get the Lions the victory, as turnovers killed the offense.
