A Delta Air Lines flight from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport to Minneapolis/St. Paul was forced to return to Chicago due to an unruly passenger onboard, the airline confirmed.
According to Delta, the flight took off from O’Hare and later returned when flight crew followed procedures in order to have an unruly passenger removed.
The identity of the passenger removed was unknown, and it is unknown if the passenger was detained or arrested upon returning to Chicago.
“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior and will always work with law enforcement to that end. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel as safety and security comes before everything else at Delta,” a statement from Delta Air Lines said.
