(KRON) — A popular Richmond District bakery in San Francisco has opened its first expansion location. Breadbelly opened this week at Pier 70 in the city’s Dogpatch neighborhood, the bakery announced on social media.
Hours for the Pier 70 location are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday through Sunday. It is located in Building 12 of Pier 70 at 1070 Maryland St. The new Breadbelly spans 3,500 square feet, which is more than double the size of the Richmond District cafe. Both indoor and outdoor seating are in the work, a press release states.
Breadbelly recently received praise from The New York Times when it was named one of the 25 best restaurants in San Francisco.
The flagship Breadbelly bakery, located at 1408 Clement St., is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Wednesday to Monday, according to its Instagram page. Since debuting in December 2018, Breadbelly — which is co-owned by Clement Hsu, James Wong and Katherine Campecino-Wong — has amassed an Instagram following of more than 25,000.
“Our offerings are inspired by Asian and American culinary traditions accented by contemporary Californian tastes,” Breadbelly said on its website. “We aim to deliver refined, casual cafe fare to the Bay Area. Our menu includes items like Kaya Toast, Breakfast Sandwiches, and Egg Coffee.”
Earlier this month, another San Francisco business expanded to Pier 70 by opening a new location. Standard Deviant Brewing opened its first expansion location on June 6 after years of being headquartered in the Mission District.
