BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A house on Walter Street was destroyed by a large fire early Thursday morning.
The fire started around 3:45 a.m. at 116 Walter, according to fire authorities. The house mostly collapsed but the back end appears to still be standing. The house sustained around $280,000 in damages and was brought under control just before 6 a.m.
The two homes on either side of the home suffered damages adding up to a combined $125,000.
The Red Cross is currently assisting five adults who were displaced by the fire. The cause is still under investigation. There were no injuries.
