DENVER (KDVR) — Residents at the StoneCreek of Littleton Assisted Living and Memory Care showed that there is never a time or place in life where a water battle isn’t fun.
StoneCreek of Littleton hosted a Super Soaker contest for its residents.
The competitors took to battle, proving who had the best eye by knocking over cups and balls that were placed on a table.
The participants were able to beat the heat of summer during the fun contest.
“Summer is the perfect time to bring residents outside for some lighthearted competition and fresh air,” said Ashley Gainer, Executive Director of StoneCreek of Littleton. “These kinds of activities help keep everyone moving and give them a chance to connect with each other.”
StoneCreek of Littleton said that a study in the Midlife in the United States project shows that spending time outside and staying active during summer not only provides fun for seniors, but also helps reduce stress, improve mood and support brain health.
