Former WCW star Buff Bagwell underwent an above-the-knee leg amputation Thursday, following years of complications stemming from a 2020 car accident.

Bagwell spoke with former WWE Superstar Maven about his amputation. Bagwell told Maven that when he got into a car accident back in August 2020, his kneecap was caved in. A the time of the accident, Bagwell was driving under the influence and drove his vehicle through a bathroom behind a Marietta, Georgia mall after he had blacked out.
Bagwell also said that do to having no knee cap he could not get knee replacement surgery. He further noted he still hopes a return to the ring can happen one day.
