BOWLING GREEN, KY.- If these rail carts could talk, the stories they’d tell would take you rolling back into the rich history of the Rail Park’s past.
Molly Claire Able, Rental Coordinator, reflects on the space’s legacy: “You think about it—so many different experiences, time, and people have come through here.”
Supporting the Bowling Green Rail Park extends beyond trains; it impacts local businesses and the city’s heritage.
“It takes money to take care of 100-year-old buildings,” says a staff member, noting that events like the Wine Fest help support both the Rail Park and the Kentucky Wineries Association.
Jessica Warren, Development Director, adds, “Bowling Green wouldn’t be the city it is today if it weren’t for the depot built here in 1925.”
Thanks to restoration efforts in the early 2000s, the depot stands strong and welcoming today. Events hosted at the park not only raise funds but also invite the community to explore what the space has to offer.
“It’s a great place to bring people together and appreciate what we already have,” one organizer shared.
With that spirit in mind, the Rail Park continues to preserve history through experiences that engage and unite. Ticket prices for the Wine Tasting event will increase on July 1st.
