Ride On to Run S Service Plan During Inclement Weather on Tuesday, Jan. 27

For Immediate Release: Monday, January 26, 2026

Due to the sustained low temperatures and poor road conditions, Ride On will continue operating the S Service Schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Flash Orange will utilize 40-foot Ride On buses, which provide better traction on snowy roads, instead of the standard Flash-branded 60-foot articulated buses. Riders should anticipate possible service delays and detours.

Route 301 will operate on a modified schedule from Rockville Metro Station to Shady Grove Hospital.

Please be advised that we will be monitoring weather conditions throughout the day and if road conditions become unsafe for us to operate, we may need to reduce or terminate service early to ensure the safety of our riders and staff. The safety of our riders and staff is our top priority. In the event of excessive ice and continued deteriorating conditions, buses and riders may be at risk of being stranded. We will closely monitor the weather and provide timely updates throughout the day via social media, our website, and email notifications to our GovDelivery subscribers.
