While speaking to Clay Edwards, The Nature Boy how he balances various projects and shared details about upcoming business plans. He explained that he regularly does autograph signings and has an upcoming Car Shield commercial with Ice-T scheduled to film on the 20th. Flair noted that he had worked with Car Shield before, took a couple of years off, and was then invited to return.
“We do a lot of autograph signings. I’ve got a Car Shield commercial with Ice-T coming up. Uh, it was, and then I took a couple years off, and then they called me to come back in. That’s on the 20th — we’re shooting on the 20th.”
Flair said he is also doing signings with Fidland Sports, with one planned in Chattanooga at the end of the month. He mentioned that he keeps busy with many different projects but that wasn’t the end of it either.
“I do autograph sessions for Fidland Sports. I do really well with that. I’ve got one of the next ones in Chattanooga, I think, at the end of the month. And yeah, we stay busy. We have a lot of projects, which is good.”
Talking about his Wooo energy drink, Flair said it’s tough to get a national distributor because there are so many drinks on the market. Even so, sales are going well, and there’s a chance to launch it in Shanghai.
The Nature Boy said getting into China could be a big deal, possibly making it the first energy drink sold in China or Japan. Flair also plans to launch “Rick for a Drip” in Thailand, either late September or by the end of the year, and added that he really likes Malaysia.
“The energy drink? Yeah, we did it. It’s so hard to get a national distributor. We’re doing good, but we’re not doing great because there are so many drinks on the market. But we have an opportunity now to go to Shanghai, and if we get it in China, I’ll be long gone. That’s it — it’s on. Can you imagine having the first energy drink in China or Japan? Watch. Yeah. Yeah, I know. We’re launching ‘Rick for a Drip’ in Thailand, I guess at the end of September — huh? End of the year. End of the year. So that’ll be fun. I love Malaysia.”
From wrestling rings to boardrooms, Ric Flair keeps styling and profiling into new ventures. His energy drink is set to make a push into Asian markets, and with a brand-new TV spot alongside Ice-T coming soon, it’s clear Flair’s hustle isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
