Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta has announced its 2026–27 season at the Fox Theatre, a lineup that includes award–winning productions, multiple Atlanta premieres and the return of blockbuster favorites.
The upcoming season (which marks the 45th for the series) opens Sept. 2-20, 2026 with Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize–winning musical that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway together to tell the story of the rise of U.S. Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
Later in the fall, Buena Vista Social Club will make its Atlanta debut Oct. 27 to Nov. 1, 2026. Inspired by the Grammy Award–winning album and real-life musicians behind it, the five-time Tony Award–winning musical explores the vibrant music scene of Havana and the artists who brought it to life.
Following Buena Vista Social Club is Death Becomes Her, a Tony Award-winning musical comedy based on the 1992 cult classic film starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. The production is slated to take the Fox Theatre stage for the first time ever on Nov. 17-22, 2026.
Other shows that are slated to premiere in Atlanta include Mrs. Doubtfire (Dec. 15-20, 2026), Boop! The Musical (Jan. 12-17, 2027), Water for Elephants (Feb. 2-7, 2027), The Notebook (April 13–18, 2027) and Operation Mincemeat (July 6–11, 2027), an award-winning musical comedy based on a real World War II espionage operation.
In addition to the many debuts, several productions will be returning to the big stage of Atlanta, including Cirque du Soleil’s holiday production Twas the Night Before… (Dec. 2–13, 2026), Wicked (March 3–28, 2027), The Bodyguard (May 14–16, 2027) and Beetlejuice (June 11–13, 2027).
“As we enter our 45th season, the 2026/2027 lineup represents a bold next chapter for Broadway in Atlanta,” said Russ Belin, vice president of Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta. “From headline-making premieres to fan-favorite returns, this season brings together the creative forces shaping Broadway today. We’re honored to continue growing the series alongside audiences who show up with curiosity and passion year after year.”
