After Saturday was a cool, dreary June day, Mother Nature decided to flip the script into a much warmer and sunnier Father’s Day! We hope you enjoy the great weather through the remainder of the day! Don’t get too used to it though, as there are changes ahead…
We’ll see partly cloudy skies during the evening become mostly cloudy tonight. Temperatures will dip down into the lower 60s.
For Monday, most of the day is dry, but we will introduce a slight rain/storm chance late in the afternoon into the evening. Keep an eye on the radar if you have outdoor plans, but note they will be very hit or miss in nature. Highs Monday will reach the lower 80s and it will start to feel more humid again around here…
We’ll stick with the slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm on Tuesday, with highs in the mid-80s. However, it will really feel sticky and uncomfortable outside, as our Muggy Meter rises into the tropical territory.
It will continue to feel tropical outside on Wednesday, with increasing chances for rain and storms. In fact, we expect storms to become widespread late in the day into Wednesday night along a cold front. Behind this front, some showers will linger into Thursday before we dry out on Friday. We’ll also see a short break from the high humidity to end the workweek.
Stay tuned for updates on Wednesday/Wednesday night’s thunderstorm chances, as some of these storms could be strong to severe. Damaging winds appear to be our main concern, but check back in for updates.

Looking ahead to the weekend and next week, we’re watching a developing hot and humid airmass. We’re talking the highest temperatures of the year so far, with highs in the 90s looking more and more likely. Start making some plans to stay cool and stay tuned for more updates.
