The NYPD is investigating the death of an 18-year-old woman who was being held in the 41st precinct station house in the Bronx, officials said Saturday.
Emergency medical workers were called to the Longwood Avenue station house about 40 minutes after midnight Saturday to assist with an unconscious prisoner, the NYPD said.
Multiple officers performed CPR on the woman while waiting for emergency medical workers to respond, but to no avail.
The woman was taken to a NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead. The NYPD’s department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating.
The woman’s identity has not yet been released.
