News accounts are erupting out of Prairie Grove today that school district administrators mocked up videos of teachers and their families becoming the victims of a school shooting, ostensibly as part of a campus safety training.
Social media and local news broadcasts like this one from Logan Begneaud at KFSM Channel 5 News detail a horrifying homemade video using photos of staff members and their children playing the roles of the deceased. The video seems to have been a terrible surprise, with their photos having been used without teachers’ knowledge or consent.
“Those who saw the video tell 5NEWS that the fake memorial pictures were dated Dec 14 — the anniversary of the Sandy Hook mass shooting,” Begneaud reported.
Cell phone video posted to social media by attendees of Friday evening’s emergency meeting of the Prairie Grove School Board show that Superintendent Reba Holmes resigned today amid fallout over the video, and Prairie Grove Middle School Principal Shayne Taylor took a leave of absence.
