BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A portion of 4th Street in Albuquerque’s North Valley will be getting a new layer of asphalt starting at the end of this month.
Crews will remove the old asphalt and begin paving 4th Street NW from Alameda to Second Street on Aug. 25.
Construction will begin at Alameda and continue northbound with an estimated completion date of mid-November. According to Bernalillo County, the project manager said that there will be no road closures, but there will be traffic pattern changes as the project progresses.
The contractor will coordinate directly with individuals and business owners about any temporary closures to their concrete driveways so that those can be maintained, a spokesperson from the county said.
Work will pause during Balloon Fiesta to ensure that traffic can flow freely in the area.
