The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is temporarily closing the public access launch at Patoka Lake Tail Waters because of unseasonably high-water levels in the Patoka Reservoir.
The closure was requested by the Army Corps of Engineers out of an abundance of caution since the high-water levels have caused them to increase the discharge of water from Patoka Lake Dam.
Once the water lowers to a typical level, the site will be reopened.
In the meantime, please look at the DNR’s Where to Fish Map for alternate launch sites.
