SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Following last weekend’s triumphant Dead and Company shows, San Francisco is ramping up to host another three-day musical event this weekend. The annual Outside Lands Festival gets underway this Friday, Aug. 8 in Golden Gate Park and will run through Sunday.

Outside Lands 2025 lineup
Headliners for this year’s festival include:
- Tyler, the Creator
- Hozier
- Doja Cat
- John Summit
- Anderson .Paak
- Vampire Weekend
- Glass Animals
- Gracie Abrams
- Jamie XX
- Doechii
- Gesaffelstein.
Beck will also be appearing, backed by the San Francisco Symphony.
The complete festival lineup includes 110 artists performing on eight different stages. Other notable acts on the bill include Ludacris, Bleachers, Thundercat, Jorja Smith, and Mayer Hawthorne.

Outside Lands schedule, dates, set times
Outside Lands runs Aug. 8-10 with three full days of live music.
Festival hours for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are:
- Festival gates open: 11 a.m.
- Music starts: 12 p.m.
- Music ends: 10 p.m.

Where is Outside Lands?
Outside Lands is held annually in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park with music taking place across the Polo Field, Hellman Hollow, Speedway Meadow and Marx Meadow.
How to get to Outside Lands
With no designated parking for Outside Lands, festivalgoers are strongly urged to take public transportation. Muni will be offering expanded service on the N-Judah line from 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be extra bus service on the 5R-Fulton Rapid line from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on festival days. There will also be a 5X Fulton Express bus running between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. each night of the festival for people leaving Outside Lands.
Festival organizers also encourage attendees to use rideshares, event shuttles, scooters, bikes, or to just walk.

Outside Lands bag policy
Festival organizers would prefer that attendees come “bag free.” However, the following types and sizes of bags are permitted:
- Backpacks and bags made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear PVC
- Small bags, fanny packs, purses up to 6″ X 8″ X 3″ (do not have to be clear)
- Empty dedicated hydration packs with a bladder capacity of under 2.5L/150 in. and no more than one additional pocket
- Standard size backpacks with hydration bladders will not be permitted
