SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany man pleaded guilty to sexually abusing minors on July 25. Denzell Ritzie, 31, will be sentenced in September.
Ritzie pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. With this guilty plea, Ritzie admits to sexually abusing several children under the age of 14 between August 2022 and March 2024.
The defendant will get a nine year sentence in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision. There will also be orders of protection issued for each victim and Ritzie will have to register as a sex offender upon release from prison.
