A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight each day for your time zone – which means that some people are always playing ‘today’s game’ while others are playing ‘yesterday’s’. NYT Strands today (game #533) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #533, are…
- CLOG
- SNEAKER
- ESPADRILLE
- SLIPPER
- SANDAL
- LOAFER
- SPANGRAM: FOOTWEAR
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Today’s theme wasn’t exactly cryptic, so I found the spangram in the same amount of time as it takes to put on a CLOG. Not that I own a pair, although I see the appeal of the modern-day plastic ones – perfect for putting on to perform tasks where you don’t care what people think of your taste in FOOTWEAR.
That said, all of the shoes we were looking for today fall into the comfort category, rather than the likely-to-get-Carrie-Bradshaw-excited category. The sort of shoes you can easily slip on and off.
Anyway, a pleasant and fun way to start our Strands week. The only thing that stretched me was trying to spell ESPADRILLE.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands answers (Sunday, August 17, game #532)
- CREATIVITY
- FEELINGS
- SPONTANEITY
- INTUITION
- SPANGRAM: RIGHT BRAIN
