Nick Cannon hospitalized with pneumonia
really no applause needed. Um, honestly, I just echo everything that reverend Harris says, probably not gonna be able to speak with so much vigor and passion as the good reverend. Uh, but honestly, we all know as *** community, as *** family, the importance of change, the importance of, uh, *** honorable system, but we all know that the system wasn’t designed for us, but we have to understand that we have to operate within it. And fortunate tragedies like the one that we are here standing for today, We honestly have to put the focus on the one thing that we can have an effect on and that’s the Children uh, and being able to be here for Aiden in Cairo and whatever capacity or whether it’s using the media spotlight, whether it’s financially, whether it’s coming together as family and friends in the community to know that in the hard times that we can all come together and focus on the right things because we are all people who know that family is the most important, you know, uh, and, and being, being someone who is *** father as well to, to know that these young men won’t have the opportunity to get to know their father. It hit me in *** way that honestly I said, whatever I could do, um, reroute my flights re cancel my day to be there for these young men who won’t get the opportunity to spend another day with their father. So as we’ve had the discussions in the conversation to, to figure out how to put together *** nonprofit, uh, trust fund or whatever the situation is, I would love to be the first person that to step up and be there and say that I want to see them go all the way. I want to see them have the brightest future that they could possibly have and whatever I can do, uh time finance is, whatever it is to to to see that these young men have the brightest future possible and to stand firm with Shane and the people’s Alliance to focus on policy. But you know, ultimately let’s focus on people and let’s focus on the community and focus on these two young men. So I’m here for aiding in Cairo for in whatever capacity I can be here for them to help establish their their, their foundation and it starts with them. But we know that many other young fathers, Children in Arkham communities that we want to focus on and be there as well. And as someone who’s always been an advocate for the youth, uh I want to be able to start here in sacramento and up and down the California coast is my brother Shane said, we’ve done lots of work and we’re gonna continue to do lots of work in California as well as nationwide and globally. So as the people’s Alliance, I stand as *** supporter and advocate and ally and uh specifically I want, I want to be *** father uh to the fatherless and and stand firm for my own Children. But then at the same time the ones who need *** father figure, that’s what we gotta do as men, specifically black men in our community. So that’s why I’m here and like I said, I mean, I don’t I don’t have the reverend skills as as the as mr Shane Harris, but I think we all understand that we all have the passion and to be here at this brunch and see all the love that comes from all these people that I got *** chance to get to know. It’s *** it’s *** powerful thing. So I’m honored, I’m privileged to be here, so thank you for having.
