A person changing a car tire on the shoulder of Interstate 25 was hit and killed by an oncoming vehicle Saturday morning.
The vehicle, described as a black Toyota 4Runner, allegedly then fled the scene, according to Denver police.
The crash happened at about 7 a.m. on southbound I-25 just north of the West Alameda Avenue exit. The pedestrian was changing the car tire on the right shoulder.
Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle in the crash to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Police believe the suspect vehicle has severe damage on its front passenger side.
