NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A New Mexico man has pleaded guilty to charges from an assault that left another man with severe injuries. James Williams Julian pleaded guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury and faces up to ten years in prison when sentenced.

According to court records, Julian, an enrolled member of the Jicarilla Apache Tribe, assaulted the victim on February 2, 2025. Court records state Julian repeatedly punched the victim in the face, which caused serious injury. When sentenced, Julian will be subject to three years of supervised release when released from prison.
