DENVER (KDVR) — A new team gaming experience is coming to Denver. Wearing hazmat suits, players will go through different challenge rooms, avoiding lasers and solving puzzles while racing the clock to disarm the world’s largest paint, slime or foam bomb before they get blasted.
Beat The Bomb is opening a location in Denver at 3863 Steele St. on Friday, April 4. Marketing director Michon Van As told FOX31 that the immersive gaming experience is different from an escape room and is like stepping into a real-life video game.
In the popular one-hour Mission experience, teams of four to six players go through five different high-tech rooms, each with different challenges. As teams advance through challenges, they earn time on the Bomb Clock.
Once they reach the final room, the team is tasked with disarming the “world’s largest” 60-gallon paint, slime or foam bomb before time runs out and they get blasted. A spokesperson told FOX31 that the company has not found any other concept that plasts people with paint, foam and slime in this way.
According to a press release from Beat The Bomb, only 10% of teams disarm the bomb on their first try. The website states that 21% of teams beat the Paint Bomb Mission, 16% beat the Foab Bomb Mission and 5% beat the Slime Bomb Mission.
Those who do disarm the bomb in time are rewarded with perks as part of Beat The Bomb’s loyalty program, and all players also receive free photos and videos of their experience.
There are also other games and experiences to choose from, so players can come back and play something new, and the challenges continuously evolve.
“Beat The Bomb is about having an absolute blast with your team, win or lose,” said CEO and founder Alex Patterson. “We’ve created a totally new and insanely fun experience that brings people together. It’s the kind of adventure that Denverites are going to love.”
Beat The Bomb will have a full-service bar with projection screens showing the most recent bomb blast videos, as well as a dining area surrounded by arcade bays with additional challenges for players.
There will also be event spaces that can be reserved. The company said Beat The Bomb is popular for team building retreats, school trips, corporate outings, birthdays and other special occasions and celebrations.
The Denver location will be the seventh in the nation. Tickets are available for purchase starting around $35, and an early bird discount of 20% is available using code DENVER20. More information can be found on the Beat The Bomb website.
