CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service responded to a fire at 959 Calvert Drive on Sunday just after 8:40 p.m.
Fire Chief Ed Baggett said when firefighters arrived a mobile home was fully engulfed.
Baggett said there was one person in the home who escaped without injury along with some pets. Neighbors said there were other pets lost in the fire.
The mobile home was destroyed and a nearby carport and vehicle were damaged by the fire, which is under investigation.
The Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Service responded to the fire, and Baggett said Clarksville Fire Rescue was also called to the scene for backup.
Calvert Drive is in Montgomery County, off of Britton Spring Road and just west of the Clarksville city limits.
Correction: Neighbors said the resident lost some pets in the fire. The article has been updated.
