Missouri Job Center and Christian County Library Host Hiring Event 

The Missouri Job Center is teaming up with the Christian County Library to host a Hiring Event on Thursday, July 31 at OTC’s Ridgewood Valley Campus, 3369 W. Jackson in Nixa. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby of the building.

“We are pleased to partner with the Christian County Library to bring a large hiring event to Nixa and the surrounding area, said Ericka Schmeeckle, Assistant Director of Workforce & Economic Vitality for the City of Springfield. “This is a great opportunity for job seekers to visit personally with19 employers and find out about job opportunities in areas such as manufacturing, healthcare, and retail,” she added.

Participating employers include ABEC, Amprod, Bass Pro, Branson/Springfield Roofing Company, Braum’s, Brightli, Communication Solutions, CoxHealth, Hiland Dairy, Jordan Valley Community Health, Mediacom, Missouri Department of Transportation, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Penmac, Red Monkey, Russell Cellular, Springfield Marine Company, Springfield Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, and Stone County Developmental Disability Board. 

The Missouri Job Center, located at 1661 N. Boonville, has resources available to help job seekers prepare for job fairs and interviews. If you need interview appropriate clothing, visit the Career Closet inside the Job Center during regular business hours. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
